Computers in the Living Room

What is a TV Computer?  Your companion to your TV.  Sony likes to call them "Living Room PC's."  Whatever you want to call them, they make great entertainment since they provide so many options - internet, email, internet TV, DVR, internet radio and the list goes on. Don't forget you can add local channels to this computer by adding a TV Tuner card which you can get when you buy your new computer or add a USB TV Tuner Stick later.

There are several options on the type of computer, brand and operating systems.  We are not going to debate over which is best but we will list what you should have to make it a TV Computer.

• Graphics card - the new graphics card available should be sufficient, however try to stay away from an "integrated graphics card"
• Hard drive - if you are going to put everything on it - mp3's, videos, TV shows, 500MB or more should be fine.  If not 250 - 500MB will suffice
• Remote - Some of these computers come with a remote or its an option.  Nice to have but not deal breaker.  
• Wireless keyboard and mouse
