Free TV - Over the Air
We are not going to discuss the transition to digital from analog in this section since we feel it has been beaten to death. However, we will mention a few ideas on antennas and converter boxes. This part of the website is as close as one can get to free TV. One question or concern that has come up is whether or not they can install an antenna on the outside of their house even though their Home Association may not allow it. The link below is from the FCC stating it is www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html against the law to restrict someone from adding an antenna to the outside of a house. Of course I have read articles in which people have come across problems with their HOA, so my advice would be to contact your HOA. As I have stated in my current set-up, I have installed my antenna in our attic so we would not have to deal with this issue. We receive full strength signals from our local stations.
