 With the ever increasing speed of broadband, Internet TV is becoming more popular for the user and the broadcaster.  It is now possible to watch all of your local TV shows for free and very close to its original air date.  In addition if you are concerned about giving up you movies on HBO or show time, web sites like Netflix will take care of that problem.
