Antenna
After installing the antenna in our attic, we picked up
around 12 digital channels in our area. We picked upa few
more channels than the availble analog channels. Our
main TV is not HD (digital) so we use the converter
box. We have not had any problems except DVR withdraws
but have sloved this problem with internet and other options
-see the DVR link.
Laptop
There are many ways to watch internet on your TV, which we
explain in our hardware
section. At the current time, we have been using one of
our spare laptops to watch free TV on the internet. Most
laptops have an S-video plug which can be plugged into an
analog TV. The output can then be changed on the laptop
and the output should then be going through the S-video plug to
your TV. Contact us if you
have questions about this. So we will watch Netflix, Hulu
or Fancast depending on the TV episode we want to
watch. As I mentioned in my Netflix section, this laptop also
turns into our master bedroom TV as well.
